I've been oil painting since the late 90s. I draw most of my influences from 19th and 20th century greats such as Henri Matisse, Claude Monet, Georgia O'Keefe, Gustav Klimt, and Alphonse Mucha. My work focuses on nature and flowers in particular. I was first inspired to paint flowers by one of my art professors at Gonzaga University, Robert Gilmore. Although my style and approach have changed over the years, I still enjoy painting flowers and look for new ways to represent them in my art.
